We have two amazing organizations from Boston competing in this friendly cooking competition! Each of these organizations help our local community members live a better life!

(ROC) Restaurant Opportunity Center vs Community Servings!

 

ROC is a local restaurant workers organization. Thier mission is to improve working conditions in the restaurant industry. Chef Rachael Collins will represent ROC. Rachel is from Rialto Restaurant, which creates amazing dishes using New England ingredients with regional Italian culinary. The Boston Globe awarded Rialto a coveted four stars in three consecutive reviews and Gourmet Magazine named it one of the “World’s Top Hotel Restaurants”.


Community Servings of Boston is a not-for-profit food and nutrition program providing services throughout Massachusetts to individuals and thier families living with critical and chronic illnesses. Executive Chef Kevin Connor will represent them.  Kevin has been a profession chef for 15 years and has spent the last 2 years at Community Servings.

Dual Emceeing this spectacular event will be John Taraborelli & Michael GazdackoJohn is the Communications Director at the Elorza for Mayor in Providence RI and the Host of Providence Pecka Kucha Night. Michael is the Director of Development & Operations at Urban Smart Growth. Both guys are very engaging and will give you a play by play of all the action!

There will be a panel of remarkable judges, Some are Authors from “A New England Food Vision”.  Commissioner Mary Griffin of the Department of Fish Game, along with Commissioner Gregory Watson of the Department of Agriculture, Elene Bezahler editor of Edible Boston, Liz Morningstar, CEO Boston Public Market, and Karen Spiller.  Stay tuned, More to come.
