The Danes County/Martha’s Vineyard Fishermen’s Association, West Tisbury Farmers Market, and NAMA are teaming up again for yet another Seafood Throwdown back on Martha’s Vineyard! Chef Teddy Diggs of the Home Port Restaurant in Menemsha and Chef Jo Maxwell from Chesca’s Restaurant in Edgartown will meet up to find out about their local seafood at the West Tisbury Farmer’s Market this Saturday, August 11 at 9:30AM.
Judges for the event will be Ben Deforest, a well known island chef, Susie Middleton, a food writer for Edible Vineyard Magazine, and Chef Robert Lionette of the Morning Glory Farm.
Martha’s Vineyard Fishermen’s Association’s Warren Doty will once again emcee the event. What will the mystery seafood be? Who will make best use of the whole fish? What culinary delights can the chefs whip up under the the time limit? Come on down for a fun and informative event!
