Ryan Horwath

Pacific Cloud Seafood

Ryan Horwath grew up in Rochester, NY, and now lives in Buffalo with his wife and new daughter. When not living in upstate NY, he jigs for cod and rockfish out of Kodiak, Alaska. He and his father moved to Kodiak in 2003 to take the reins of his uncle’s fishing business. Ryan is a member of the Alaska Jig Association, Alaska Marine Conservation Council board member, and an advocate for sustainable fisheries. About joining NAMA’s board, Ryan says “It seems to be a natural fit. More of my time will be spent closer to the east coast and it’s clear we are all facing the same issues as public resources are under attack by the corporate consolidation and privatization process. Uniting and staying involved on any level is important.”
